2025 - Recycled paper, wood and turmeric
Recycled paper and wood.
Two ever-present materials.
Two organic substances.
Two natural sensorialities.
A story unfolds. From tree to wood, to paper. The encounter.
A meeting of matter, poetry, and senses.
"The poetics of paper" is an approach to the lightness of the everyday and the material—specifically, recycled paper—engaging in dialogue with wood. This vision of the infraordinary is not only found in the material itself but also in its details and possibilities: the outlined, imperfect edge of recycled paper as it dries under the sun’s warmth; the fragile fold that lends volume to its two-dimensionality; the paper handled, sabotaged, and shredded to fill small, unoccupied spaces; and the slow, tactile, yet essential process of crafting a single sheet of recycled paper.
